Indie Film Night on the Big Screen

Not up for a mid week movie full of loud explosions and a  hero(ine) hired for something else besides his/her ability to deliver a believable line on screen?… Kelowna Film’ Society’s new season is underway and it is bringing a good line up of  well reviewed and eclectic cinema to the Okanagan big screen.

Every Wednesday evening at Orchard Plaza the Kelowna Film Society has a movie playing.  It won’t show up on the marquee, you need to check out the website to find out what is playing and then pay cash just inside the door for the 7 pm start.  Regular film goers will tell you for the best seats, showing up  early is advised.

Tonight’s film is The Trip directed by Michael Winterbottom (Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story) and starring Brit actors Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. Reviews from around the world rate this comedy high on the laugh scale.

Upcoming Wednesday night features include: based on a true story – The First Grader; the raucously funny – The Guard; and the astonishing and captivating Werner Herzog film, Cave of Forgotten Dreams.
