Peach Tarts Vs. Raggedy Rollers

First Coffee of the Day

I don’t know about you, but I know about me, and there are only two for-sure constants in my life — and they aren’t those wimpy ones you think they’d be, like air or food. No, I’m talking about coffee and music. Without these things, I’m just not sure if I’d survive! Thankfully, in the last few years, Kelowna has been raking in quite a few options for both.

I was picking up coffee on my way home from work the other day and was ready for a bit of coffee adventure. Usually I’ll hit up some place downtown, as I do much of my work around there, and I hadn’t been to Second Cup since college (2004/05-ish) so I figured I’d give it a try. Lo and behold, what did this particular Second Cup—and I suppose other Second Cup’s—have on their menu but my latest flavour obsession, butter pecan, in a latte-form.

Sold.

If you’re wondering what goes well with a soy butter pecan latte, I’d recommend either Joy Division’s “These Days” or Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros’ “Janglin.”
