Spotted this band set up outside of Paramount theatre downtown. They played a full set. Currently on a West Coast Tour, they play May 15th at O’Flannigans. Wicked sounds! Seems the RCMP didn’t mind them not having a buskers permit and playing at an illegal buskers stop. ;)

“Coffee is brewed for friends, sipped for pleasure, and enjoyed by all.” Snapped this at Cannery Coffee this week before a nice long hike up Knox Mountain. Maybe coffee isn’t quite for everyone, and this is a bit less homemade than some of our other Snapped! features, but it’s still nice and it makes me smile!

While filming our A-OK Rooftop Sessions video with Windmills last weekend, I spotted this piece of work on (I wanna say) the 3rd floor of the Parkade in Vernon. Known for it’s historical murals, this chunk of history won’t be on any of the local maps.

Well this came out of nowhere, obviously, since it isn’t even from the interior. This little treat I found next to me in a booth at one of my favorite Cafés in Vancouver, or rather, Kitsilano if we want to be more accurate. Kitsilano is a engaging glimpse of what Kelowna could be in 5—10 years if we support our local businesses and gorgeous landscapes. While it would seem this feature would be better suited for other websites outside the area, it includes Penticton in it, and it shows how wide reaching our own personal awesome is. Cheers, Sophie.

A nice treat and surprise as you’re walking up Water Street in Kelowna in an alley next to The Keg Restaurant is this quick chalk drawing. What looks like an attempt at turning a possibly violent night into a statement.
